Allies for Queers Scholarship

The Ally for Queers Scholarship supports Miramar College Queer-Ally students towards achieving their academic, career, and personal goals. This $375 scholarship recognizes and supports individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advocating for and uplifting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Applicants must demonstrate a clear passion for promoting equality, understanding, and positive change, with a focus on fostering solidarity and respect for all queer communities. This scholarship aims to encourage continued efforts to bridge gaps, amplify queer voices, and create a more inclusive and supportive society for all.

Eligibility:

  • Must have minimum of 2.5 GPA
  • Must be currently enrolled in 6 units for Spring 2025
  • Student identifies as an ally, participates in queer events on/off-campus, or has a family member that identifies as queer
  • Completed FAFSA/CADAA with unmet need

All Scholarship recipients will be required to provide a “Thank You” Letter to the donor expressing your sincere appreciation of the award(s).

Note: If you are selected and notified of a scholarship award, you must claim it no later than December 19, 2026, unless otherwise specified in the scholarship guidelines. Awards not claimed by this date will be forfeited.
