Marcus Samuel McMorris Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, made possible by Marcus’ parents, Claudia Boga and Larry McMorris, is administered by the Santa Maria-Lompoc NAACP, honors the memory of Miramar College student and Men’s Basketball Player, Marcus Samuel McMorris. Marcus was an All-Pacific Coast Conference starting point guard on the Men’s Basketball team for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons. He was a natural leader, whose enthusiasm for basketball and life, knowledge, and attention to detail were infectious. Marcus was an incredible young man who touched the lives of many. He will be remembered as someone who always had a smile on his face and would brighten anyone’s day.
