Allies for Queers Scholarship
The Ally for Queers Scholarship supports Miramar College Queer-Ally students towards achieving their academic, career, and personal goals. This $250 scholarship recognizes and supports individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advocating for and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. Applicants must demonstrate a clear passion for promoting equality, understanding, and positive change, with a focus on fostering solidarity and respect for LGBTQ+ identities. This scholarship aims to encourage continued efforts to bridge gaps, amplify queer voices, and create a more inclusive and supportive society for all.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Must have minimum of 2.5 GPA
- Must be currently enrolled in 6 units for Spring 2025
- Student identifies as an ally, participates in queer events on/off-campus, or has a family member that identifies as queer
- Completed FAFSA/CADAA with unmet need
