In Memory of George F. Dowd

This scholarship is dedicated to George F. Dowd, who retired from the Navy having served in the U.S. Army during World War II (1942-1950) in the European front including Normandy, France. He was honorably discharged from the Army in order to enlist into the U.S. Navy, where he served until his discharge (honorable) from the Navy in 1970. While in the Navy he was an Aviation Machinist serving in the Pacific until his retirement in 1970 in San Diego.
